My grandpa had pretty good luck hanging old scratched CDs and dvds in his cherry tree. Guess it makes the birds think its some other birds territory
Nets are about the only thing that works well.
try to cover parts of it with cheesecloth then, saving some is better than none! Close pin it on.
You will have to cover them they make net covering for things like that deer net should work to.

Put a couple fake owls on posts and place by your cherry tree. I used one this year for my vegetable garden and it worked great. Best of luck to you.

Would chimes in the trees help? You can buy them at Dollar Tree. If you screw in a hook at the end of a broom or other long stick, you can get the chimes up higher in the tree. They can hang on very small branches. Best wishes 😇
