You can try using anything that blows hot air such as a hair dryer....
You might be able to peel it off if you wet it with a sponge. You'll have to gauge how much water it needs to release. It has been up there for many years since that was a trend in the 80's.
Dif, is a wall paper remover you wet it down and you peel it off. I heard some people use hot eater and some fabric softner as well.
I just use a spray bottle of warm water. Let it set a couple of minutes and pull it off. Works for me every time. I've removed all the borders in our home that way.
A steamer (hot) will loosen the glue and it should peel off easily.
best way is to soak it with water (some would add liquid fabric softener to the water) and gently pull the paper off. If some of the backing stays, add more water and rub it off.
Warm water in spray bottle. Sometimes wallpaper has a top layer that will rip away from the bottem layer. Then that second layer will saturate nicely and scrap off with a spatula tool.
steamer rent or buy a inexpensive one ... I have tried lots of ways and it depends on what they used for adhesives to put it up. some times a mixture of downy and water in a spray bottle will help but by far the steamer worked the best working in small areas and scraping with plastic body putty knife
Peel what what will come off with your hands. That's fun to me!! Whatever is left on the wall, spritz with water, wait 5+ minutes and scrape with a plastic or metal putty knife. (be careful not to gouge the wall) Have a damp towel handy. It can be a sticky mess.
What is the wall under the border? Plaster, sheetrock, etc? Pick up and inexpensive scoring device at the home improvement store. Score border, spray with hot water and a spritzer bottle, wait a few minutes and you should be able to scrap off with a flat blade, like a spackling knife. If the wall is sheetrock, be careful to not get it too wet.
