Can you use Chalk paint over wallpaper?
We have used this paint on many different surfaces......with very good success.Has anyone out there tried it on walls.......even over wallpaper? Thanks.
I would not suggest ever doing that unless if you know that the wallpaper is secure in all areas and the seams are seamless (which I doubt). I believe painting over wallpaper would accentuate the seems; it is not always easy to remove wallpaper but it would be worth the trouble for a better end-result.
It is not a recommended procedure as down the road the paper will bubble and peel
We started painting over wallpaper, even startomg with a separate primer. Turns out there were 2 layers of wallpaper plus a wallpaper boarder. It all started falling off as we painted the primer on. My point: you never know what's under there!
No. I wouldn't do it. Strip the old paper first. It takes time but you will be happier you did it.
Don't do it. Yu will regret it later.
