Behr's paint is excellent you can get it at Home Depot.
inside or outside
My personal preference is Clark Kensington Exterior paint. It goes on evenly with either a brush or roller. Depending on the existing color and the color you choose to apply, you may need to prime first. I prefer Kilz2 Exterior primer. (I know you're thinking the paint has primer in it.... trust me...... prime the house first.) If you're painting a dark colored home with a new light color, prime first! It will save you a lot of frustration , tears, and hard work. Best of luck.
When I paint I always use Behr, from Home Depot. I knw a number of professional painters who also recommend using Behr. Both their interior and exterior paints are fantastic.
I have had excellent luck with good quality-don't use cheap paint-primer and paint in one. I prefer latex because it remains flexible and expands and contracts with temperature changes. Don't skimp on preparation-power wash, scrape and caulk.
Sherman Williams makes several very good exterior paints. I used the top of the line with a non-fade warranty. Expensive but already worth it. I live in southern California and the sun is brutal. I did my house at the same time my neighbor did his with something from Home Depot. It's been 3 years and his has faded badly. Mine hasn't, as proved by a touch-up I had to do on the south side of the house. Perfect match.
Go to your local Kelly-Moore paint store. They have outstanding brands of paint. It will cost a bit more than the big box stores, but since you only want to do this job once every 15 or 20 years, don't be afraid to spent a little more per gallon. It's the best paint I've every used! Good luck!
