If I understand, how to decorate a garden in desert like condition but without cactus? Well, you would have to go the nurseries and find out what grows well in your zone...here in Calif., people are using lots of different rocks, maybe some hardscape, like comfy bench and pottery....
A water feature would be nice, maybe some potted succulents in pretty pots, a river rock dry bed
cesar, compre suculentas, que son plantas que almacenan agua en sus hojas, generalmente son gruesas. La diferencia con el cactus es que estos tienen espinas. El cactus es una suculenta pero las suculentas no son cactus, siendo esta la diferencia. Busque aloevera, echevarrias, snake plant( o mother in law tongue) que son largas con variedades de todo verde o con orillos crema, soportan tierra sin atencion, y no hay necesidad de regar como las otras plantas de tallos lenosos. Vaya a un nursery o vivero donde venden estas plantas. Y la variedad es temenda, buena suerte!
