What I've done is: use a sponge, bucket of water and a scraper. Wet the paper, wait a minute, then gently scrape off the wallpaper. Good luck!
Hi Ashlee. You can purchase DIF. It is a wall paper remover. Before you spray that on you will need to use a wall paper remover scorer. This put little holes into it so the DIF can penetrate to the backing. Then you scrap it off. It is messy so make sure to use a drop cloth. Another option is using a steamer. You can rent these at most hardware stores.
Fast and easy do not exist in wallpaper removal, at least not in my world! Use the scoring tool till your arms want to fall off, then score some more! Fabric softener sometimes helps too. Then steam, steam, steam away! Here are a couple links for you!

Once you complete this step, the fun really begins!
I once paid a professional to remove wallpaper but never again. I watched her and she just used soapy water (dish soap) and a sponge. Be careful to soak the wallpaper but not so much water that it soaks into the drywall. Work in fairly small areas so you can remove quickly. Make sure to put down a plastic drop cloth to catch soggy paper that you may drop. They also rent steamers that may be quicker, especially if they added extra glue to the back of the wallpaper. Good luck.
Score it with one of those round wall paper tools, then soak it with fabric softner in hot water with a car sponge be sure to seal the floors with plastic and tape to baseboards, then peel or scrape off.
