Make sure you have a space that will allow the bleeding heart to grow. It will do so for several years. Mine is in a semi-sunny spot. I had to amend my soil because I have a lot of clay so I added some peat and garden soil, also mulched it after I was done. Not sure what else you might want to know.

A good plant food is Holly Tone. Prepare for the fact that your Bleeding Heart plant will be large and gorgeous early on in the season, but may die back as the summer progresses.
