    Try heating some vinegar water and let it sit for a few minutes and see if that helps.

    Hello Pollywiz, Try sprinkling some baking soda in your microwave. Let it set for a long while. Then wipe it out. You may have to repeat the process if it didn't work to your satisfaction the first time. Wishing you well. Good luck.

    I would add some lemon juice to water in a microwave-safe vessel like a pyrex measuring cup, and heat for a couple of minutes. Then let it sit for a while, to get the benefit of the steam and because the water will be HOT.

    place a bowl of fresh coffee grounds in your microwave and let it set in there for several days. You will be pleasantly surprised. Works for freezers that have come unplugged and kills the rotten meat smell!

    Put a cup of white vinegar in a bowl and just sit in the microwave for an hour. It will pull the smell out.

    I use lemon and boil it in water in the microwave and then wipe down the inside.
