Wrong soil

Three major reasons hydrangeas won't bloom is frost damage, too much fertilizer and improper pruning. It's best to prune in early spring when you can see where the dead wood is and will not accidentally over prune.
It needs lots of sunlight. My neighbor had the same problem and I had told her that she needs to move them to a place with lots of sunshine. She did and they started blooming.
be careful when you prune them. If they are blue or pink hydrangeas the best time to prune them is after them bloom (if they bloom) they bloom on old wood, so if you prune them too late, you cut off all of next years blooms. White ones can be pruned anytime, but fall is best. They bloom on new wood. They can be cut down to 12" high in the fall or winter. They may need more sun, but not a lot of afternoon sun.
They needs lots and lots of sun and then depending on what type of hydrangeas they are depends on when they shouled be pruned.
