Are taking over can I kill them I think I cut them before they re-seeded over my lawn. I didn't plant them and have no idea as to why they were there but I know that those things spread and I don't want them in my lawn. I cut them back but how do I get rid of them.

You need to dig them up and divide them! Offer them up on a local yard sale page for free or Craigslist for free! Or just pull them from the roots!!

Boy I wish I had that problem! If you don't want them, they're easy to pull up by hand. If you want some, but don't want them to self seed, as soon as the flower is dead, cut off the stem and either throw away the seed heads or give them away. Birds are also really good at distributing seeds and many love cone flowers

I cut them once dead and dug them up had to wait because of wasps. So far this year nothing. Oh and to all who answered I didn't know how to get to this I didn't know I had followers and know I need to know how to erase or delete answered questions.
