from seed or trans plant.....plant seed according to seed package directions, to transplant dig a hole the same depth as the planter, loosen the plants roots, set it in the hole so it's at the same depth as it was in the planter, put the soil back arround it and water the plant.
Make sure the plant has good drainage ...doesn't like soggy soil. I planted mine on a bank next to the house on the west side. It has doubled in size this summer. Water when dry if there is no rain.
