Not at all sure what you mean. Do you mean the cubes in the container sort of freeze together? Mine does, and occasionally a cube will not fall from the maker into the container, and then it won't make more ice till you remove it. So "what is frost up:
i would suggest periodically taking all the ice out and clean with warm water. Ice tends to build up because smaller pieces have all fallen to the bottom.
