Ah, that explains why the pin buttons are no longer available . . . So sad, I liked being able to pin stuff too. I still love Hometalk though . . . Unless a person goes through the patent, copywright or trademark process to protect their original content, anything is fair game. Exactly why bloggers need legal disclaimers . . . Such a tangled legal mess . . .
I have the pin button as an add-on and I keep pretty much all my hometalk stuff in a separate folder but it is so sad that people can't pin from here. Many of the bloggers things have come from pinterest or at least somewhere else. Try looking up slime and you'll see thousands of posts - or look up Christmas pine wreath and you find hundreds that look pretty much alike. Does putting on a different flower make a difference? So many things are not patentable and do not belong to anyone that it's crazy to have this kind of thing happen. So sad.
I usually never pin from Hometalk as I now live in a condo so there's no gardening or woodworking, etc. that I can do and I've done a LOT of craft items over the years and am pretty capable at decor, so I've been told.
However, there were two Posts last week that I thought I would pin (for a change!) but noticed the pins were missing. Now, I understand why! Thanks for clearing this up.
I'm not sure where you get your information Steve but I have posted many things to Pinterest from the Hometalk site without any problems. This site is a community of like-minded individuals who enjoy sharing information with each other.
I like this site because it's just everyday people sharing ideas. Sometimes the Pinterest bloggers are just too over the top to me.
