Can you add tile around exciting tile

add a new granite vanity top to bathroom and putting glass and granite tile as the back splash would like to add the new glass and granite tile on the top edge of exciting cermic tile that is already on the walls. trying to tie new and old

IF you are asking if you can place new tile above tile that is already there, I would say yes, but make sure it is the same thickness as the old tile. I would tape a piece of what you are wanting to use on the wall first with painter's tape to see if you are truly going to like it or not. Might download a picture to get opinions on how it looks before permanent application. :)

thanks yes this helped. I also talk to a tile expert and he told me to use the same color of grout or close to it and to use a product that can blend the colors of the grout so it looks like both of the tiles where layed at the same time

Tile can be applied over existing tile, but do no have grout lines in the same location, also use special thin set
