use a paper towel & go over it with an iron
put a towel over it, use an iron, wax will stay on towel, may have to do more then once depending on how much wax.
place brown paper over the spill then iron the paper on a warm setting and the wax should stick to the paper
Scrape off what wax that you can without damaging the carpet. Then, take some brown paper (the type used for wrapping packages) and lay over remaining. Use the tip of a warm iron (don't touch carpet) and touch the paper until you see it absorbing wax. Keep moving paper and adding heat. When no more will absorb use carpet spot cleaner as per directions.
Put ice on it to harden it then use a wire brush sideways so it doesn't catch on the carpet but scrapes off the hard wax, just keep working on it like that until it's all out. When most of it's out you can put an old towel on it and use a hot iron on it, make sure you don't want the towel any more. Good luck and I hope this helps
If your carpet does not have a deep pile, ice cubes will sometimes freeze the wax the same way it does with chewing gum. Be prepared to scrap it off while still frozen.
