If you're into painting, that would be my first suggestion. It's the least expensive means of updating any piece of furniture. There's also wallpaper that you could apply to the cabinets for a quick change up. Best of luck.
I saw cabinets covered in contact paper, looked good!
You can sand them down, clean prime and paint which is a lot of work for a rental,or cover them with a nice contact paper
I would look online for removable wall decal ones that are large like 36" wide by 8 feet tall. I'd cut them to fit each door face. When you leave for good remove and use again maybe on the backs of a bookcase.
You might try wallpaper. Peel and stick. People cover the inside of their drawers, why not on the outside.
They also make the melamine paint by Rustoleum you can use to touch them up.
Make sure you check with landlord before you do anything! 😉
Thanks ya'll! Not opposed to painting, just not sure what kind of paint would adhere to vinyl..I also had thought about wallpaper. Know anywhere I could see pics of the wallpaper idea or tutorial of the painting. Thanks again#
Molding, stencils, stickers, decals, even washi tape!
