Construction adhesive, hot glue will just pop right off.
if your going to be running over them even construction cement won't hold up. You would need a 2-part epoxy and you can get both of them at a home improvement center
My go to is liquid nails. Find it in the section with caulk at any DIY store.
If you live where there is snow - this will be a mess in a year or two.
Go to your home center and buy a cement adhesive.
