i used a vinagar and water solution, sprayed the area covered it and let it stew for a few hours. Then scrubbed it with laundry soap. Since mold was basically all over the basement i did some research......bleach will kill mold, but not the mold spores. Hence the vinager . Do ya all know the differences in vinegar....cider vinager is for cooking, white is for cleaning and it comes in 2 sthrenghts. 10 percent and 20.
If you have actual mold visible, then you must first find where moisture is a problem. You could have a slow water leak from a roof, water pipe, a clogged gutter can cause water to leak from your soffits back into your house, etc. Once you resolved the moisture problem then your mold should be nonexistent. Mold in most cases would either need cleaning or if damage is present would need repaired.
