I haven't used either but I used oil based paint and they clean beautifully.
I would not go for either - Satin finish or Gloss would be harder wearing...
Those paints sound like craft paints! I would recommend a water base paint like acrylic latex enamel. Enamel paints are durable and easy clean up. Oil base paints are very messy and often leave brush marks in finish and in my opinion could ruin your kitchen cabinets!
Wash with Murphy's oil soap, then use a high-gloss paint. This paint you can wash, with a rag and dish liquiid. Good Luck!

Me too but smone posted milk paint is better and easier than chalk paint !
