Before I fixed the cracks, I'd get a structural contractor into see if you have structural issues. Depending upon the way the cracks are cracking, it could be indicative of further issues. If you just cover the cracks, you are not fixing the underlying issue and it will continue to worsen.
Hiring someone can cost a lot, but you want to do this once and not have to do this again so use what the professionals use.

Some of the big box stores are carrying these kits. They generally go for over $100, but if the cracks are leaking, it's well worth the money and it is something that you can do yourself.
