But never ever eat a mushroom unless its been identified by an expert,,,, they can kill your liver. Look for a local mushroom buyer to identify it for you.
It looks like it is not edible ,mushrooms will grow in wet sites which creates fungus
The "rule of thumb" on mushrooms is to never, ever eat one that you don't know what it is!
Many mushrooms mimic each other, and only until you look at the gills, smell it, cut it open, consider its growing location, etc., AND have it evaluated by a professional would I even consider eating it. DON'T eat a mushroom that has not been evaluated by a professional because even if the poison doesn't kill you, the neurotoxicity will last a lifetime!
yeah thanks
That looks like a chanterelle mushroom.
Even pros get it wrong.... we had a mycologist and a park's naturalist kill themselves eating wild mushrooms.... and every year in Oregon there are quite a few who have to undergo liver transplants or die from eating wild mushrooms.
DOESN'T LOOK FAMILIAR TO ME ! THE ONLY MUSHROOMS I KNOW ABOUT ARE THE ONES YOU BUY AT THE MARKET AND THE WILD MORELS.
