Then choose a neutral that coordinates with any adjoining rooms.
How about shades of gold? That would pretty much blend in with all the holidays.
I would stick with light greys, or creamy colors, stick with the more neutral colors since holiday colors vary so greatly in color and intensity of colors.
Choose a neutral, like greige, muslin, or cream. Here's a neutral wall against Thanksgiving decorations: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/57/a0/43/57a043f55da4ef4913afdb16a9c01697--coastal-fall-coastal-style.jpg

Sage green, sand, beige all are friendly colors and they go well with a multitude of colors. Good luck!
I'm a big fan of Sage Green as well. The new golds are nice too.
You cant go wrong with a light cream or a white or even a soft light grey. Paint the walls (above the chair rail the lightest color and use a darker tone of the same color from the chair rail to the floor. Any decorations will be nice with that as a background! If you use bright colored paint on the walls, by the time you get the decorations up, it will look too busy and drive you crazy! Also you migt get tired of all the red and green for xmas and want to go to all soft whites, silvers light beige in all your decorations for a stunning change. That will look fantastic with your painted walls and v classy. good luck
