There is actually a paint made for glass. It's translucent, made a candle holder at a vacation bible school. This dang auto correct is getting annoying....the holder was a slightly chipped canning jar glass of course, tea light to light it up and a wire bail made to carry. Painted it in stripes....it's a good bet I'll find it when I clear out her estate....

Before you paint you need to use sandpaper to make it course so the paint can adhere.
glass made for paint is the best. You can also add some color to decoupage glue to give it a tinting rather than paint job
