Can you just vacuum them up?
@Naomie, you can vacuum them but if they have laid eggs they will just keep coming back. :)
Glad it worked! Did it get crickets too? I have never managed to get one in the house that I could ever find to kill!
My neighbors and I had them come last year about this time due to warm weather. We put the roach boxes you get at Home Depot or Lowes, and the boxes become full in no time and eventually they were gone. You can put them in the home where you see crickets and if your animals don't chew anything or think the are something to play with they work great. Not sure but think the animals wouldn't like the smell if they got too close, but in your garage they would work well. Oh we all have small dogs as well, but no problems using these.
Diatomaceous earth is safe for pets. I would buy human grade if I were to use it inside. Dehydrates the insects with microscopic silica from diatoms.
Use a peppermint spray.
