"Silver Queen is one of the most beloved sweet corn varieties and firmly entrenched in the minds and taste buds of those who grew up waiting for those first, butter-soaked ears of summer." You may like this site, good luck!

Where do you live, @ChristineHandRaiser? I think it is usually planted in April or May in Georgia through Texas, although Silver Queen may be different. You MIGHT be able to get in a late crop if you are in the Deep South or Southern California. If you happen to be in the Southern Hemisphere, it's almost time. Oct. 1 is optimal. Best wishes 😇
Sweet corn needs to be planted in the spring, usually on a mound. Planting 3 rows next to each other is preferable to planting one long row. Native Americans used to companion plant corn with squash and beans, calling them the Three Sisters. They would also put a fish in the bottom of the hole to fertilize the corn.
I think this will help- enjoy!!
