I would go with something that accents the same colors, but has an additional color that you can work with in your kitchen décor.
Whatever tone you decide to go with, pick your pieces carefully. Granite tends to split on defects
oak can be very yellow/orange/brown..... whatever you decide-you need to match that undertone. or it will clash
Stay light. Dark granite is hard to keep from showing water spots.
Blue Pearle granite goes well with oak cabinets.
