Brown equals needs water, yellow equals too much water, hope this helps, if not go to your local nursery for help.
Usually indicates too much water or not enough. Keep tabs on when/how often you water.
Don' t either over water or let plant dry out. If you do get one with a brown tip cut it out of the plant as close to the root as possible without damaging any other leaves.
overwatering
yep as they said above too much or not enough water.
You may be over watering them.
Too dry between watering can be one cause, another cause can be compacted soil. Just pinch off brown part, this will make your plant fuller in the longrun
Over or underwatering use a moisture meter for plants.
trim roots and re pot. As plant outgrows pot, roots wrap in a circle and water is not absorbed
Fertilizer burn-water a thirsty plantfirst and then fertilize. May need to use less fertilizer as well.
Brown tips to me means not enough water and yellowing is too much water. The picture shows a couple of mine. Hope this helps you out
I have found that some of my houseplant leaves turn brown if they touch a wall or something solid. Yes, get a water meter and it will tell you if you need to water your plant.....Mine cost aless than $20 and works great.
I would say repot it to get it healthy again and make sure in future you don't overwater.
You're watering it too much for the amount of light it's getting. You're not getting just brown leaves; you're getting yellow-tipped leaves that have wilted, eventually died then turned brown. Those leaves will continue that process until the entire leaf is dead. Although Airplane plants (aka Spider plants) grow in the shade, they need bright indirect sunlight. They can also be grown inside if their lighting needs are met.
Your spider plant is not getting enough water and possibly nutrients. The roots are drawing what they need from the leaves and that is why they are dying.
