Make Your Own FARMHOUSE Bathroom... Yourself!
by

When I was challenged to update my bathroom with a brand new vanity, I knew I wanted a little more. I wanted to turn my standard bathroom into one filled with FARMHOUSE features.
So I learned how to plank a popcorn ceiling, beef up the window moulding and create a unique wall treatment with a ton of character AND productivity for towels. With junk along for the ride of course!
And here is the quirky, salvaged, ohhh so farmhouse result...

A modern vessel sink vanity marries farmhouse features beautifully. Just add junk!
A plain window and wall become so much more with a little bit of woodwork... no tricky miter cuts in sight.
Yes, you CAN plank over a popcorn ceiling. Very easily in fact.
A branch hangs jewelry, straight iron and blowdryer too when needed.
The rustic basket full of toilet paper hasn't tumbled out yet.
And the very yellow before. Proof that any room can indeed be saved.

I love all the woodwork added; especially the window trim.
