Guest Bathroom Before & After

We took a boring beige bathroom and updated it on a budget by painting a "wallpaper" design on the walls and using the existing fixtures giving them a new look.
The Wythe Blue background shows off the hand painted design in our guest bathroom.
Boring beige before, this bathroom looked dated and dark.
The wallpaper effect was easily done with a cardboard template, a pencil to outline each design and a 1/2" brush to paint on the detail with Cloud White.
The dark wooden vanity was transformed with Cabinetcoat paint in Cloud White and new glass knobs.
The grey granite vanity top looks completely different now that the rest of the room is so light.
We splurged on new mirror and light fixtures and added chrome towel ring and hooks for a cleaner look.
Shopping in my own home, I found this silver mint julep cup and tucked in a dollar store bouquet of white African violets.

love it. I have a question regarding the stencil on the wall. Any reason why you didn't do another coat? It looks almost transparent. I would have given up myself. Looks like ALOT of work to start with :)
    • It was so much work! The thought of doing another coat is frightening. In real life, it doesn't look that transparent. Thanks for your comment
