Bathroom Paint color

Sistah Sunshine on Mar 05, 2014I like to do a small space all in one color - to make it look bigger, but you can get away with doing a bold rich color. Since you already have browns/warm tones, I would do a color that you would see WITH your browns in nature. Greens, rust/brick/orange. Deeper colors in a small space also make it feel cozy. Post some pics if you can.Helpful Reply

Tommy Hicks on Mar 06, 2014i agree with greens i think it is what you want. An accent wall is good i think i like accent walls i think they give character to the rooms i have a small bathroom i like to add a bright color to a bathroomHelpful Reply

Debbie Harris on Mar 06, 2014With the dark wood vanity and dark counter top be sure it's a color that won't chase you out of the room. Maybe a burlap / taupe color, goes with anything save to color for accessories.Helpful Reply

Debra on Mar 07, 2014I think it would look best all in a single color. What springs to mind for me is a pale sky blue for all the walls and the ceiling. Don't know for certain, but I have read that this color actually makes surfaces appear to recede - so your little room would look spacious. Blue and brown can look lovely and natural together.Helpful Reply

Justme on Mar 07, 2014Okay, outside the box a little. Go to the dollar store and pick up some cheap wrapping paper. Plain and wild patterns. Tape some up on the wall. You'll see just what colors and/or patterns do to Your room. It's a small bath. If there's any place to experiment, it's there. You could always pick out the lightest, most subtle color in the counter and use that.Helpful Reply

Betty Ganung on Mar 07, 2014I also have a very small bathroom with no windows, dark wood vanity and dull greenish top on it. Had the walls all painted white and use a rich red shower curtain, red towels and framed photos of light houses. Love the look for my guest bathroom.Helpful Reply

KathrynElizabeth Etier on Mar 07, 2014You can't go wrong with white in a bathroom; you can change the look anytime by switching out towels and shower curtain. Also, without windows, you'd appreciate white for its brightness. However, an accent wall is a possibility, although it limits your redecorating options.Helpful Reply

Robert Bumpus on Feb 26, 2015I would keep the walls a lighter color with all the dark wood tones. Maybe a light brown almond color to match the other brown tones and trim to be a bright white so it pops off of the darker colors.Helpful Reply

Nancy B on Mar 01, 2015I picture an off white on all of the walls. Behr has a white called "Malted Milk". It has a slight peachy cast to it. I painted my bathroom cabinets with it and I love it.Helpful Reply

Terra Gazelle on Sep 14, 2015I kind of go with the rule that nature works with colors...if you have a green then brown, creamy yellows, beige, soft blues, or pale peaches..but sometimes that can look pink, will work. I am doing my guest bath in what is called Misty Wisteria..it is the palest of lavender and I will use a darker Green and white with it. I have a huge Wisteria and its colors are just beautiful...I took my colors from it. Find something that inspires you...Helpful Reply
