You will need:
- clean mason jars or bottles
- nail polish (few different colours)
- shallow plastic container ( large enough to fit lying jars and bottles)
- lukewarm water
- cotton buds
- nail polish remover
- rubber/latex gloves (optional)
- toothpicks (optional)
Pour lukewarm water into the container. Pour a small drop of nail polish into the water. After few seconds you should be able to see a layer forming on a water surface . Add another drop of nail polish (place it in the middle of existing stain) and then add another and another. It should create a peacock style ‘sticker’ on the water suraface .
You can transform your stain into the flower ( swirl colours together using a toothpick). You can wait 10 seconds, let the first layer dry a bit and then create a polka dot pattern (try not to make layers of a ‘sticker’ to thick).
Slowly press one side of a jar towards water surface. You can roll it gently to make sure pattern is evenly applied. Leave it to dry.
Use cotton buds and nail polish remover to clean smudges on the jar or to remove your pattern if you’re not happy about how it turned out.
