A visit to Morikami Gardens

Anyone interested in the beautiful tradition of Japanese gardens should plan a visit to Morikami Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida, which I was lucky enough to visit on a beautiful South Florida spring day. The 16 acres of gardens are regarded as some of the finest of their kind outside Japan and include both historic styles and modern interpretations of the ancient traditions.

Patty on Mar 20, 2014What a beautiful peaceful place. I lived in Florida for twenty years and I didn't know that was there.

Patty on Mar 21, 2014Ha, ha, ha, this past winter would have been the time to move back. I really do miss Fl. and would love to move back and get away from these cold winters. The best part would be, being able to garden year round, but then I wouldn't be able grow lilac's or peonies, etc., but then I could grow pine cone lily's, and ginger lily's and a whole boat load of tropical's that I love. I wouldn't have to dig the tuber roses in the fall or the dahlias and other tender perennials. You see the pro's really do out weigh the con's, but this state is my husbands home and he would never consider moving, so I will just keep dreaming of warmer places.
