Other than for cars.. I don't think there is a "self leveling" paint.. there is a self leveling product concrete product for floors
I believe that if the paint says it is self-leveling it is referring to it's ability to make brush marks go away. Not the same as using leveling compound before installing a new floor.
Self-leveling paint only makes the brush marks level out when you paint something. It will not actually level your floors. If you are re-doing your floor and it needs to be leveled, you will need to use a leveling compound of some sort to do that first.
Just paint it with your gut feeling. It may depend on the footage, the size of the floor.
Almost anything is going to work in a small space and be pleasing to the eye. The larger the space, the more we see imperfections.
