Cleaning floor tile grout.

I have a seen a recipe for cleaning grout easily. One ingredient was Dawn dishing washing liquid. Does anyone have this recipe? Did it work for you? Thanks so much. Lana

If you are talking about tile on the kitchen counter, I used to just pore beach on the tile and let it set for a few minutes then wipe it off. Maybe an old toothbrush on the grout to get the stubborn stains but that's all it took

I don't know the one with the Dawn dish washing liquid, but I use a paste of baking soda and bleach and it has worked wonders on my grout - both the floor and the wall tiles.

Cleaning grout is a delicate process because of how porous the material is, so be careful! Grout usually needs to be scrubbed, but not too hard and not with too much water (be sure not to use harsh cleaners either!) We recommend using a toothbrush and hot water to gently scrub. Ceramic floor tiles are durable, versatile and difficult to damage. When ceramic tile floors are properly grouted and sealed during installation, spills and debris will not affect their overall look. To prevent staining or residue from building up, you should make sure the floors are sealed and cleaned on a regular basis. Tiles do not show scuff marks or allow wear marks to appear if furniture is moved from one place to another.
