Not sure how to wash a mattress, but I sprinkle mine with baking soda about 3-4 times per year. Let t sit for most of the day, then vacuum it off. It helps to freshen the mattress and give it a clean scent.

I liberally sprinkle mine with baking soda. leave it on for a couple hours. Then vacuum. Baking soda will absorb much of the body odors and leave it smelling fresh. to remove any stains, I use carpet cleaner on then with excellent results.

I have removed blood with peroxide and micro fiber cloths. I have even poured it a little. You just have to be vigorous and be able to let it dry. You cannot even tell where the spot was.
