have you put a magnet on it yet, and does it stick?
Will it take magnets?
Stainless steel (silver metal) doesn't usually have magnetic properties. (some of the old time stainless steel does, but not the kind today's refrigerators are made of). Try the sides, as they might be another type of metal that's magnetic.
No the front will not take magnets, :(
Check at a home store or auto body shop and see if they carry magnetic paint. Or tape a cookie sheet and mount with heavy two-sided tape on your fridge. Also ask at a home store for magnetized sheeting which can be cut to size. Metal fabrication shops may have ideas for you.
