It depends on what you mean by fake wood. If it is a particle core covered with wood veneer, then you should be able to treat it as you would any other wood surface. If it is not wooden veneer but rather a surface such as vinyl or something similar, then limewaxing won't work.
It looks like veneer. Thanks Dave I'll try it in a inconspicuous place. Cold I just ruff up the grain on the wood with steel wool for a light lime or do l have to strip it completely? I mean that for the solid wood fronts.
