I love our three divider laundry basket. It's so old I bought it with saving stamps. We keep ours in the master bedroom closet because that's where my husband and I generate the most dirty clothes. (Kids grown and gone.) We use the net dividers full length, but you can tie each divider at the bottom into a big knot, making it much shallower. If we do have the same basket, the aluminum frame is pretty sturdy when it is staying still. But the frame comes apart sometimes. Drilled holes and a few extra screws with nuts would stabilize the frame more. In the meantime, I have used multiple twist ties through the years to hold the net baskets to the frame, especially around the corners.
I like some of the ideas that have been given for repurposing. I think if I didn't use it for laundry, I would use it for all the throws, blankets and pillows we use in the family room, with maybe one blanket reserved for draping across the front to block the view of the netting. I might even paint the framework and dye the netting. I hope my laundry basket is used forever. Best wishes đŸ˜‡đŸ’–
Recycling. I used mine for short term storage for items going to charity.
