Spray them down with a organic insecticide for vegetables
Get rid of leaves that are badly affected; toss 'em, don't compost them.
How to get rid of them:
You can use a strong stream of water to reduce their numbers. You can buy a Bug Blaster that does that kind of thing.
Beneficial insects such as ladybugs and lacewing can be used to keep spider mites at bay especially when they are introduced when the pests are at a low or medium level in the garden.
Insecticidal soap, neem oil or a botanical insecticide can be used to spot treat them.
There are also insecticides available that will rid you of the mites and not harm the plants or leave a residue that affects the taste of the eggplants. Check your local nursery.
If you don't have insecticidal soap, you can use soapy water to slow their progress.
