Equine Pine pellets from Tractor Supply. A 40 lb bag is $6. My cats love it!
Having 6 rescue cats, I go through a lot of litter. After going through just about every fancy schmancy and every expensive cat liter on the market, I use good old cheap clay litter. I have throws on their favorite furniture and they rotate in and out of bed with me (and the 3 dogs) and the sandy stuff just drove me nuts. Now, I am lucky as I have a cat door to the garage from my house where their litter boxes are located and I scoop them twice a day and dump the entire mess out on an as needed basis and wash the bins.
