New Shelf From a Printer's Tray
by

After moving my living room around, I had an empty space on the wall above my tv. I happened to find this printer's tray, which was the perfect size for the spot, at a local antique store. After a trip to Home Depot for a board and some corbels, putting this shelf together was easy! I simply cut the board, stained the new pieces and attached all together with screws. Now I have a new shelf that I built with my own hands (it's very gratifying!) and that I love!

Cheryl on May 05, 2014I love it! I'd never have thought of doing such a thing. It's just right. I'm having the same problem right now. I moved my TV armoire to the corner, so the space directly across from the sofa is bare. I am waiting for inspiration on what to do with the space. Nice job!
