I used goo gone caulk remover and a caulk removing tool. It was still a pain in some areas but if you let the goo gone set for a few minutes it’s a lot easier.
Try a Red Devil 7 in 1 tool. You can purchase at any of the big box stores.
They make a silicon caulk remover that will soften it, and use a metal spackle knife and a box cutter.

If you have a tile surround, use caution to avoid chipping edges of the tile.
