Not a good idea to paint tiles that get wet and soap scummy and then need to be scrubbed.
If you want to stay with the blue and white colors, this is what I suggest. Get instructions on how to stencil your tiles around the wall, (tub and pedestal sink to the door), at the tile the goes the height of your cabinet morror. Then find a nautical theme stencil, and paint this theme on your tiles, skipping every other tile. On the back wall, I suggest you put a shelf to put the tall items you have, for the toothbrushes, etc. Blue anchors and beige ship wheel! Waves, ocean pictures, too!! Good luck and please post, whichever you choose. Hopes this gives you ideas for more great ideas!!
Because tile is so Expensive to buy and install, I would keep it and explore ways of perhaps 'marbling' it to update the look. Then you still have the look of an expensive upgrade and can add shelves, etc. to enhance storage, etc.
I personally think the tile not the problem you have a mis- matched pedestal sink or it’s just not installed properly? I wound add beadboard around the striped lower part the the bathroom then install a two section shower doors that sides, place a small cabinet sink and long narrow mirror on top, then add a new toilet and will bring it up to date.
I would paint the lower part of the walls pure white to make it pop against the beige tiles. Then, add a small wall shelf to hold your bottles of shampoo, etc. Add 1-2 pieces of wall art with a nautical theme to add some cute color...and to match the blue rug. I think the stripes are making the walls look a little busy right now. Use blue towels and accessories to pull everything together....
