How can I glue sisal rope to cardboard? What is the best glue to use?
I am trying to make decorative baskets using heavy cardboard boxes. I tried a spray glue, but it wasn't working.
I used white professional carpenter's glue about 8 years ago and it is holding as new. Otherwise, I would try E6000. Hot glue will "dry out" in some time and stop working. Use the white glue sparingly on both sides, let dry a bit and then adhere the pieces. If possible apply even pressure and wait a few hours to dry and then cure.
Try liquid glue or Gorilla glue. Both can be found at a home improvement store.
I would use E6000
E6000 would not be my first choice. I would use GE Silicone II.
I agree, e6000 is great!
You can get permanent hot glue sticks which work better than the regular hot glue.
