Safe ways to kill and prevent Fruit Flies

Those pesky bugs are annoying. I take out the trash daily, clean the kitchen sink, garbage disposal and counter tops frequently and even use a home gnat bait but all to no avail.
I’m open to prevention and postvention ideas. Thank You.

Pour 1/3 of a clear glass whiskey glass,with APPLE CIDER VINEGAR into both glasses. Make sure you use APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. In a few days you see the little pests floating in the glass. Pour that glass down the drain and put new APPLE CIDER VINEGAR back into glass and set back were it was before.
I keep mine all summer and into the first frost of the year.
No more Fruit Flies.

I put peppermint oil in a small dish and keep it we're the fruit flies like to hang out
Red wine vinegar & a squirt of kitchen soap works for us. Good Luck!

Put orange juice or apple cider vinegar in a bowl, and whisk in a couple squirts of dish drops. Cover the bowl with saran wrap, put an elastic around it, and poke many small holes for the flies to get in. The soap breaks the surface tension and the flies drown when they try to drink!
