How to fasten something to brick?

I have an all brick home and every holiday we decorate and I used a mansonary drill bit and they come in many sizes and purchasing the bit (its very inexpensive) be sure to buy the screws in the bit size with the wall sinkers. Super ez and you drill right into the mortar only.

gorilla glue is a great idea!

Concrete fasteners is what we used to attach a set of stairs to our concrete porch.

My ex-husband put a nail through the exterior brick of my fireplace many years ago so that I can hang a wreath or other decoration. Ask at your local big box store or Ace Hardware.

Drilling into the mortar will hold heavy items, I hang a huge sled with skates. Just be sure to use a bigger bit.
