What should I do? My cleyera plants have fungus!
The fungus is now on the pine straw. I sprayed the plants with Daconil a week ago but to no avail. What should I do?
Depends on the plants. When in doubt stick a pencil into the roots a few inches if it come out moist it is fine if not water.Use tepid water and do not allow the plants to sit in water
Variables will be room temp, humidity and sun exposure. All should have proper drainage. As rule, a full soak, twice a week will do for most, as long as all have drainage.
When the soil feels dry 1" down. Just that easy.
All have a bit different schedule. Here is a link that will help. Also, one for having plants that are just in water. You would be amazed at how many of them there are.

I water mine once a week.
Once a week should be sufficient for any house plant......unless it is a cactus which only needs a tiny drink of water about every two weeks.
I water mine when they tell me to. When the leaves look less than bright and perky or a little droopy they need a drink. I give enough water that some drains in the catch tray, which when it evaporates is good for the leaves too. If you have succulents their fully hydrated leaves will appear plump, smooth and firm. When they start to feel a little limp and soft or start to look dimpled or wrinkled they need a drink. Check them the next day and if the display any of the same symptoms give another drink.
