Personally, I wouldn’t want glue coming in contact with my food. Is there any way you can use the broken sections as trivets, etc. or just as display? By “display”, I’m meaning that if the pieces are large enough, simply propping them up against your backsplash purely for decor purposes.
For example, I really dislike some random tiles in my own backsplash so I propped up a few wooden cutting boards to hide the ugly tiles and warm up the color of the tiles and counter. One of my boards is rather narrow so when I have company for say, just wine and cheese, I place a row of both items down the board(s) with a cluster of grapes ... and the presentation looks really nice.
No, any crack would be a repository for bacteria and cracked food ware is a danger for hepatitis.
This might help.

If you can get your hands on a biscuit joiner, refasten with biscuits and waterproof glue, clamp tight overnight. Work carefully and you'll be safe.
Sharon is right. While cracks in wood can be repaired, with cutting boards it is a different concern all together. Don't take the risk.
Wood glue the interseams that broke and then vice grip it together for about 48 hours. It should hold and be safe since you aren’t doing the surface you use to cut on.
No. Please buy a new one. It is no longer food safe.
