There is peel and stick privacy film that you can apply to the glass. There are different choices, such as light filtering, opaque, and sunblocking.
Use privacy film to cover it up
How about window film? Here are a couple good links.

Hi Joan. You can purchase window film. I bought some from a local hardware store. You cut it to the size of the window.
There is a bubble wrap made for windows that insulates again heat and cold. An added advantage. I’ve not used it so I can’t speak on it’s merits. Just an FYI.
There is a spray frosting that you can buy at the hobby store. It washes off when you want it off. Rustoleum and Krylon both have one.

use Gallery Glass paints. Gallery Glass makes liquid leading and stained glass paints. You simply tape your pattern to one side of the glass and squeeze the liquid lead on the pattern lines. When dry, fill in with color or colors swirled together. If you want some texture, use a toothpick and move it around in the paint. when it's done and dry, it will allow light in, but be a privacy screen at the same time!
