i live in central Oklahoma and need to know when I should cut my rose bushes back and how much. Thank you
Not time to prune! Late winter to early spring is best. You can "trim" them now to keep them tidy.
You should wait until very late winter or very early spring before they begin to make leaves and buds again. Cut anything that looks and feels like dead wood from winter kill. I prune ours back to about half their size. Be sure to feed it banana peels after pruning. Roses need potassium to bloom well.
